How much does it cost to learn to drive?
Learning to drive safely is a big financial, and time commitment and not to be entered into lightly – Please read: ‘The realities of learning to drive‘ before committing to starting lessons.
The DVSA say, on average, it takes 45hrs of weekly instructor lessons and 22hrs of private practice to pass your test, which equates to about 7 months of regular weekly lessons. Having said this, I’ve had some students pass after only a few lessons with me but many hours of private practice, and other students who can take many years to achieve test readyness.
